◆ Brief introduction -- Software Park Environment
 UFIDA Software Park is located in the northwest of Beijing, where clustered with plenty of high-tech companies. The UFIDA software park has a planned building space of 4,500,000 square feet, which can accommodate 12,000 staffs working simultaneously. The first phase of the software park was completed in June 2006. Now, the software park has over 3,000 staffs working everyday.

If companies wish to attract talented employees, then they have to provide a good working environment for them. UFIDA Software Park conducts high-quality construction and pay great attention to not only mutual support between working and living environments, but mutual balance between cultural and natural ones.

The software park is so environmentally friendly. All the lamp posts are using the solar power. A river, with a delicate wood bridge over it and fishes playing in it, goes through the entire software park. The grassland and various beautiful trees and flowers are planted everywhere. Birds are chirping and singing. As the software park is far from the city center, there is little pollution at all. The air there is clear and fresh. Every corner is scenery. And the software park is just like a real park showing their charming in each season. 

 
◆ Building Facility 


    
● Energy for heating and air-conditioning
The main color from a bird’s eye view of our software park must be green. During the design, planning and construction stage of our software park, we have always followed the prime principle of “ecological, natural, and environmentally protective”. The air conditioning system in our office is not using the traditional Freon. The air conditioning and the central heating system of our software park are adopting the “Earth Source Heat Pump” techniques, which supports sustainable development of environmental protection, and does not cause any pollution to the environment. Soil energy is collected through the underground pipeline network, together with the heat transformation, machinery action and etc, goes through the equipment to proceed with the refrigeration and heating functions and is transferred to each terminal of the air conditioning system inside each office. The entire air-conditioning and central heating system could be run anytime we need without any restriction compared with other office buildings due to our advanced energy collection method.

● Water resource
One of the most vivid features of UFIDA Software Park is the ecological nature. The processing of reclaimed water and cycling usage of rain water embody our concern for environment protection. The water running through our software park comes from three different sources: underground well water, rain water and purified used water collected from Software Park. There is no municipal drainage inside our software park, because we have adopted the top-of-the-world rain water collection, ecological stones technologies and ecological kidney methodology (capillary filtering) In addition, UFIDA has invested a large amount of money in interior construction of the software park, committing not to give any pollution and burdens to our surrounding areas and nature. We could solely use our own ecological system to operate. We believe and pursue the natural harmonious relationship of “mutually living, mutually existence, and mutually flourish”. Although doing in this way will dramatically increase our investment at the beginning, however, in the long run, we firmly believe that our company could grow up steadily in this software park and could save a huge amount on the maintenance fee. What is more, we want to be a company which is responsible for the society and the nature as well.
◆ Working Environment

● Building Construction
The Park features complete working and business facilities, ranging from business center, conference room, video/audio meeting system, multi-functional hall and multimedia training classroom, to big dining hall, and etc.
   

The construction principle of our software park: is “ecological & natural, useful & simple, modern & national, economical & durable”.
Useful & simple and modern & national are mainly represented in the construction style of our software park. Combining both western construction styles with traditional Chinese culture, the external wall of the building embedded glass bricks and small square windows can effectively preserve the heat and supplement the sunshine in a great manner. The guideline of “saving energy” is represented in designs of hollow glass brick of external wall and ventilation system of the software park. The roof garden, ground garden, aerial transportation system and other construction all closely encompass the design of the “cultural experiences”. Our external wall made of cement brick are durable and can save the maintenance of the painting, cleaning of the ceramic tiles and similar works, all of which fully represents our economical and durable principle.

      

Every building only has three floors. Our company encourages every employee to go upstairs or downstairs on foot. Due to the stress and burden of the brainwork of the software people, most of the employees have the sedentary habits, thus, by climbing the stairs, the employees could at least have some exercises.

● Green office
Knowledge-based enterprises often have some difficulty in recruiting and retaining well-qualified staff, so the quality of the working environment becomes much more important than before. Office workers now expect high quality workspaces and are beginning to interview the building when considering where to work. The Green Building movement is gaining strength in UFIDA Park. You will see many plants inside the office buildings. Plants help reduce stress and distractions due to office noise, enhance employees’ attitudes, increase productivity, and improve air quality. Moreover plant displays can be especially useful in space management of commercial buildings. They can form natural screens and partitions, ideal in open plan settings, and help guide people around a space.

      

● Network facility
The communication network in the park is jointly constructed by China Telecom and China Netcom. Our headquarters has E1 Inter-links with our sub-office through satellite communication. The VOIP system employing Alcatel switches can support 10,000 telephones. Both the inbound and outbound bandwidth exceeds 10G. Bandwidth ranging from 2M to 2.5G can all be selected to access main local networks. Sophisticated optical fiber communication network, internet data center and switch center will be established in the park, and telecommunication soft switch technology will be adopted to reinforce the advanced switch platform.

 
◆ Living Environment
● Dining hall
Dining halls and food counters in the building can accommodate 5,000 people at one time. Over 100 different dishes are provided at noon and at night. More than 20 different dishes are provided in the morning in our dining halls. UFIDA Park introduces a set of flue gas desulphurization device into the dining management. The waste gas from the kitchen will be ejected to the air after purification which greatly decreases the additional pollution to the beautiful environment.
      
               

● Traffic
The garage surrounding the UFIDA buildings is designed to park approximately 300 cars. It is a 15 minutes’ drive to the nearest city’s express railway node, where you can switch between subway lines. More than 50 lines of company’s free shuttle service enables employees to quickly arrive at UFIDA Software engineering every morning from different zones of Beijing. It will be nice to relax and prepare for your day work without the hassle of traffic. And after work, you can unwind from the stresses of the day while someone else handles the driving or squeezes in the crowded traffic jam during the rush hour. 

    
 
● Dormitory
Inside the software park, we have four blocks of dormitories, which provide one-bed room, two-bed room and four-bed room apartments for at least 800 employees. All apartments facilitate with air conditioning, central heating, cable TV, internet access, 24 hours hot water. Furthermore, laundry, grocery and barber shop close to the dormitory building make living here even more convenient. Besides, we also have a post room. Where everyone could send their packages, check their registered mails and pick up their parcels easily.
◆ Activities
 


There is a gymnasium inside the software park, with all sorts of sport facilities such as indoor basketball court, badminton court, table tennis court, snooker, shuffleboard, foosball, fitness equipment, dancing room, dressing room, coffee bar, the outdoor tennis court, outdoor basketball court and also a sports store selling a great variety of sports commodities. The gymnasium also provides teaching classes like Yuga, taekwondo and dancing which could enrich the leisure life of the employees who are living inside the software park.
